According to reports from Swiss newspaper Blick, Newcastle United are currently scouting Young Boys defender Kasim Nuhu.
Newcastle United’s poor start to the season continued after they suffered a very disappointing 1-0 defeat at the hands of Huddersfield Town on Sunday and it was clear to see that the Magpies currently have a lot of problems plaguing them.
While Newcastle’s need to improve the attack has been well documented, their backline is also not exuding confidence at the moment and manager Rafael Benitez will surely have to rectify the issues in defence with a couple of new signings in the final days of the transfer window.
Bringing in a quality centre-back would be a start and now according to reports from Swiss outlet Blick, the Magpies are currently said to be looking to make a swoop for Young Boys defender Kasim Nuhu.
Newcastle are said to have sent scouts to monitor the 22-year-old during Young Boys’ Champions League qualifier clash against CSKA Moscow recently and it is believed that a bid of around £8million could see the ex-Real Mallorca man join the Magpies this summer.
