According to reports from the Daily Mirror, Inter Milan are hopeful of selling Stevan Jovetic to Newcastle United instead of allowing him to leave for Sevilla.
While Joselu managed to grab a goal on his home debut in the 3-0 victory over West Ham United, Newcastle United will in all likelihood have to bring in another striker to St. James’ Park before the end of the summer transfer window.
The likes of Aleksandar Mitrovic and Dwight Gayle might be sold by Newcastle in the coming days and even if the duo end up staying put at Tyneside, manager Rafael Benitez is intent on signing a prolific frontman to boost his attacking options.
Inter Milan man Stevan Jovetic is one of the many names that have been linked with a move to Newcastle in recent times but the Magpies face competition in the race to sign the Montenegro international – most notably from Sevilla, where the striker spent last season on loan.
Jovetic is believed to be keen on a return back to Sevilla this summer but according to reports from the Daily Mirror, it has been claimed that Inter Milan are hopeful of selling the 27-year-old to Newcastle as the Premier League side are offering a larger fee.
