According to reports carried out by Football London, Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez has been placed as the favourite to become the next West Ham United manager.
Newcastle United grabbed a stunning 3-0 victory over West Ham United at St. James’ Park on Saturday and the result would undoubtedly come as a huge relief for the Magpies’ faithful.
However in a strange way the win could accelerate Rafael Benitez’s expected departure from St. James’ Park, if reports from Football London are to be believed.
The 3-0 defeat for West Ham to Newcastle has heaped pressure on the shoulders of manager Slaven Bilic and Benitez, who had widely been mentioned as potential candidate to replace the Croatian at the London Stadium recently, has now been placed favourite to take over the Hammers – according to Football London.
Swapping Newcastle for West Ham might seem like a sideways move for Benitez though and if the Spaniard is able to work things out with owner Mike Ashley, he is certainly better off staying put at St. James’ Park.
“if the Spaniard is able to work things out with owner Mike Ashley, he is certainly better off staying put at St. James’ Park”.
Ashley already asked Benitez to shut up. The only way for him to work things out with Ashley is be a yes man.
