The likes of Jeroen Zoet, Wayne Hennessey, Fernando Muslera, Adrian and Łukasz Skorupski are the goalkeepers being linked with a move to Newcastle United, as reported by the Chronicle.
It is clear to see that Tim Krul has been made surplus to requirements at Newcastle United by manager Rafael Benitez and the Dutchman is all but certain to be leaving St. James’ Park before the end of the summer transfer window, with Benfica and PSV Eindhoven being mentioned as potential destinations for the Dutch international.
Therefore, Newcastle will need to sign a new custodian to provide competition to current number one choice Rob Elliot and according to reports from the Chronicle the likes of Jeroen Zoet, Wayne Hennessey, Fernando Muslera, Adrian and Łukasz Skorupski are just some of the names being linked with a move to Tyneside.
Despite being linked with so many names, Newcastle only need to bring in one goalkeeper to the club and anyone of the aforementioned choices could prove to be decent options for the Magpies due to their experience.
If indeed Newcastle are unable to land the services of a new custodian, manager Rafael Benitez will probably have to keep hold of Karl Darlow and Freddie Woodman rather than allowing the duo to move on loan and use them as back up choices.
