According to reports from the Telegraph, Newcastle United currently believed to be monitoring Paris Saint-Germain custodian Kevin Trapp.
Newcastle United needed to improve their squad in virtually every position this summer and bringing in a new goalkeeper during the final days of the transfer window will surely be on the agenda for manager Rafael Benitez.
With Tim Krul and Karl Darlow expected to be leaving, Benitez is currently plotting a move for a new custodian to provide competition for Rob Elliot and a number of names such as Adrian, Wayne Hennessey and Jeroen Zoet have all been linked with the Magpies in recent times.
Now according to reports from the Telegraph, claims are being made that Newcastle are currently considering a swoop for Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Kevin Trapp as well.
Trapp has lost his position as first choice for PSG this season to Alphonse Areola and as a result, a move away from the Parc des Princes has been touted for the German international.
A transfer to Newcastle United now could be a possibility and the Magpies are said to be keeping a close eye on the goalkeeper’s situation in Paris during the final 36 hours of the window, although they will refrain from panic buying.
