Positive update on Benitez’s future at NUFC following alleged West Ham & Crystal Palace interest

Benitez is undoubtedly a frustrated man, but positive and reassuring updates on his future have been reported by The Mirror and Chronicle, who claim the Spaniard will NOT walk out on Newcastle and remains 100% committed to the task in hand.

The Mirror state that Benitez has decided to stay put and see how the campaign pans out at St James’s Park, stating the Spaniard ‘feels a debt of loyalty’ to his adoring fans, also knowing that walking out on them could instigate a the clubs collapse. The report suggests his relationship with the powers that be is becoming more and more stretched, but that he is unwilling to see last season’s hard work go to waste.

The Chronicle suggest that talk of Benitez being ‘open to offers’ (such as West Ham) is not true, insisting that he is ‘100% commitment’ to the job in hand.

Ashley’s baffling lack of backing have seen countless reports question Benitez’s future at the club, and whilst links to West Ham and Crystal Palace have continued to emerge, it is pleasing to hear news that he remains committed and has no plans to walk out on the club despite obvious frustrations.

It will be nice to see football back on Sunday, with Swansea not only posing a chance to win 3 points, but an opportunity to put smiles back on the faces of us the fans and perhaps more importantly, Rafa Benitez.

  1. All very Well that he is staying (for now) but their is now massive issues that need repaired .loss from the fact that Rafa will never trust the board anymore their is players that wont have any confidence in Rafa eithier .Gayle has confidence problems and Mbemba , Mitro ,Lazaar ,colback and Saviet all have trust problems or are just not rated good enough by Rafa .Some of these problems can be resolved so as sending Mitro too anger management just like Shelvey has been and Mbemba too language lessons as for the rest its up too Rafa too do what he is payed for , coach the players and make them beter players (ok for colback that is mission impossible ) but its now down too Rafa who as good as a coach he is ,imo should of kept his mouth shut about certain players in public and let their agents find them new clubs . Its going too be a long hard season but in Rafa i trust too save us because the Squad is not as poor as its being made out too be by certain pundits and press .just ask west ham united 🙂
