Newcastle United have made 2 changes from the team that beat West Ham 3-0 two weeks ago, with injured Chancel Mbemba making way at left-back for forgotten man Jesus Gamez, whilst Jacob Murphy starts in place of Christian Atsu.
We had expected to see Ciaran Clark to fill in at left-back and Lejeune come in to partner Lascelles in the middle, but NUFC have opted to go with Gamez – the man who did little to impress in a Carabo cup appearance against Forest last month.
Murphy’s inclusion over the in-form Atsu is also a strange decision. It will be good to see Jacob get his chance, but I find that very harsh on Atsu, whose been one of our stand out performers so far this season:
NUFC Subs: Woodman, Shelvey, Gayle, Diame, Lejuene, Yedlin, Atsu.
Swansea XI: Fabianski; Naughton, Fernandes, Mawson, Olsson; Clucas, Sanches, Carroll, Fer; Ayew, Abraham.
Renato Sanches makes his eagerly anticipated debut – he’ll be one to watch – however fellow new signing Wilfred Bony is on the bench.
HWTL Go for it !!!!!!!!!!
