An unwelcome boost has been handed to our opponents ahead of this weekend’s game, with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool set to have Sadio Mane back from a 3-match ban, whilst Brazilian star Phillipe Coutinho looks set to start after missing their opening 4 games of the season.
The return of Mane is an untimely one for us. The Senegalese winger was voted the Premier League’s player of the month for August, scoring 3 times in Liverpool’s first four matches.
He saw red for a dangerous challenge in an away defeat to Manchester City earlier this month, but having served his punishment, he’s set to return to Premier League action at St James’ this Sunday .

Unfortunately, he will also be joined by the dangerous Phillipe Countinho, who has only recently rejoined first team action after an unsettling summer saw him linked with a move to Barcelona.
The Reds have had a busy week, winning 3-2 in a frenetic encounter away to Leicester last weekend, followed by a 1-1 draw in Moscow on Champions league duty this Tuesday. Their long haul trip to Russia this week may work in our favour, however Mane’s return will give them a real boost.
Mane and Coutinho are top class players capable of single handedly winning games and will join Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino in what looks like a pretty lethal quartet of attackers for Liverpool.
Here’s hoping for a resolute display on Sunday – it’ll need to be with those four set to start!
