Watford star OUT of their trip to St James’ later this month after being charged with violent conduct

A boost of sorts ahead of our home game with Watford later this month, with it being confirmed that club captain Troy Deeney will miss the game on the 25th November after being charged with violent conduct and banned for 3 games.

The 29-year old was caught gouging the cheek of Stoke midfielder Joe Allen during their 1-0 defeat to Mark Hughes’ side on Saturday and has since accepted a violent conduct charge from the FA.

Here’s the incident:

Deeney will now miss Premier League matches at Everton this weekend, West Ham’s visit on the 19th November and, most importantly, Watford’s trip to St James’ on the 25th November – our next home game after Saturday’s visit of Bournemouth.

With 1 goal and 1 assist to his name so far this season, Deeney hasn’t been setting the league alight, but as their captain and focal point up front, he could be a miss for Marco Silva’s in-form side.
