Michael Owen reveals fascinating stat in his prediction for Newcastle vs Bournemouth on Saturday

Former NUFC striker and current BT Sport pundit Michael Owen has offered an uplifting outlook ahead of Saturday’s game, predicting we’ll return to winning ways against Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth this weekend.

Interestingly, whilst fellow football ‘experts’ Paul Merson and Mark Lawrenson predicted we’d win at Turf Moor on Monday, Owen opted for a draw – however his forecast for our upcoming game is a positive one on this occasion.

Here’s his comments when speaking to Bet Victor ahead of Saturday’s game – with his prediction including a very interesting stat regarding Rafa Benitez’s home results on Saturday’s at NUFC:

“Rafa Benitez has won all five PL home games played on a Saturday with Newcastle and I think he will make it six out of six when the Cherries visit St James’s Park.

“The Magpies weren’t at their best at Turf Moor on Monday but they are a different proposition at home and I think they can keep the points.”

Good to hear some positive predictions in the build up to Bournemouth on Saturday, although history has suggested that results often go against what these pundits predict!

A big game this one. The defeat to Burnley unsettled a few on Monday, so a win would go a long way to getting us back on track.
