Benitez set to battle it out with Alan Pardew for the loan signing of Premier League striker?

The Chronicle revealed last month that we were set to target a move for Liverpool’s Danny Ings in January, and the Guardian have stated that Rafa WILL lodge a loan bit for him next month – but can expect to face competition from several Premier League sides, including Alan Pardew’s West Brom.

It is understood that Jurgen Klopp would be willing to let the forward go out on loan this winter, with him featuring just once this season in the League Cup since making his full return from his latest long-term knee injury.

According to the Birmingham Mail, Pardew was keen to bring Ings to Newcastle back in 2015, however the former Burnley striker ended up signing for Liverpool that same year.

It seems Alan could be set to rekindle his interest in the 25-year old forward, giving competition to the host of teams set to be eyeing his loan signature – including ourselves, West Ham, Crystal Palace, Stoke and Brighton according to a story from the Guardian last night.
