Michael Owen shares concerning statistic as he makes his prediction for West Ham away

Former NUFC sick note Michael Owen has been having his say ahead of our trip to West Ham and has revealed a slightly ominous statistic in the process – highlighting how the Hammers come into this on the back of three consecutive Premier League clean sheets.

The BT Sport pundit is backing David Moyes’ side to win in his prediction for Bet Victor and expects a low scoring affair – warning Newcastle fans that West Ham have kept clean sheets against Chelsea, Arsenal and Stoke in their last three.

Here’s what Owen’s had to say in his prediction column for Bet Victor:

“West Ham have kept clean sheets in their last three PL games and I think they can make it a miserable Christmas for the Toon Army given the Magpies go in to the game having lost their last four.

“There wasn’t much love lost between Rafa Benitez and David Moyes when they were managing Liverpool and Everton respectively and the former Reds boss is unbeaten in his last nine PL encounters against Moyes.

“I think the Hammers will edge what promises to be a tight low-scoring affair although the hosts will miss their influential suspended midfielder Manuel Lanzini.”

They’re unbeaten in their last three and we’ve lost our last four, but they are by no means a side to be feared, with us set to leapfrog them in the league with a win.

Here’s hoping we can defy the odds and prove Owen wrong this weekend. A result is essential to steady what has looked like a sinking ship in recent weeks. HWTL!
