Former NUFC striker Michael Owen has made his predictions for this weekend’s upcoming Premier League fixtures and he has gone for a us to beat Swansea at St James’ Park on Saturday – revealing that Swansea have lost 7 of their last 8 on the road this season.
The pundits haven’t been too kind to NUFC as far as predictions have been concerned over recent weeks, however it seems our uplift in form over the festive period has instilled some fresh optimism into Owen here.
Here’s his assessment on Bet Victor ahead of Saturday’s huge game against the Swans:
“Newcastle have picked up seven points from their last four games and I expect them to maintain their recent improvement with a win against Swansea at St James’s Park.
“Swans’ did come from behind to win their last away league game at Watford but they remain at the-foot-of-the table and did lose their last seven on the road before their trip to Vicarage Road.”
PREDICTION: ‘Newcastle to win.’
Interesting to hear that Swansea had lost SEVEN away games in a row prior to their recent away win at Watford last time out. On one side, it seems they’re a team that generally struggles on the road, however this was their first away game under Carlos Carvalhal, so they may arrive with newfound belief.
On the flip side, our home form has hardly been anything to write home about in recent months.
