Some astonishing claims have been made by Reuters – one of the leading business news agencies based in London – who reveal that Amanda Staveley and PCP only found out that a deal was ‘off’ via a television report on Sky Sports, with them admitting that Ashley made no contact with them to suggest talks were to be ended.
Quite typical of the bloke really. No communication, no grace and a total lack of respect. We shouldn’t be surprised that he’s dealt with them in this sort of manner.
According to the Chronicle, Staveley is ‘devastated’ that Ashley has pulled the plug on a deal, and Jim White has since suggested on TalkSPORT that they are still ‘very interested’ in buying NUFC despite the major setback.
Nevertheless, this is a totally unprofessional and classless way of ‘communicating’ from Ashley and fans have hit back the NUFC owner for his approach last night:
Classy

I knew our ownership had little to no class with the way they handled Jonas and Ryan Taylor's release.
This is ridiculous though. Childish.

PCP learned of the deal's collapse via Sky Sports News. What on earth?

To make things worse, it seems no official statement will be coming from NUFC on the matter. No surprise, but equally pathetic.
PCP bid lodged in Nov then not heard…Did you not think of picking up the phone and asking, or while you were having a curry with Ashley ask while he eats the whole menu….
FFS..PCP…**** or get off the pot……
