Jorgensen’s goal record (and incredible number of assists) is impressive, however I am always dubious when it comes to those scoring for fun in the Dutch league.
Yes there’s been some top strikers arrive from Holland and hit the ground running (Suarez, Van Nistelrooy, Van Persie, Bony, Kuyt), but there’s been several big money arrivals who’ve really flopped (Afonso Alves, Kezman, Ruiz, Altidore).
Just look at Luuk De Jong who had a short spell on Tyneside several years ago after being prolific in the Dutch league. He failed to score a single goal in 12 games at Newcastle, but went on to score almost SIXTY times in the two seasons that followed at PSV..
Jorgensen is a different player, but you can see why we’re slightly cautious of a player from the Eredivisie.
Anyhow, here’s him in action for Feyenoord last season:
Graves twist and turns more than Jinky Jim, depending on how Ashley’s crones pull his strings.

As a ST holder I’ve seen our strikers miss dozens of the sort of chances he appears to put away. Goals are all we’re really missing right now and misses have turned wins into draws and draws into losses. We create chances, if this lad can convert them he could change our season. Seems worth the gamble if the knacker releases the funds. Won’t believe it till I see it though and I’m not generally a cynic. Whoever we get, it needs to happen now.

Its breaking news in the dutch media that a deal will be done and Feyenoord have just signed Van Persie so need too shift someone out . I reckon this one will happen having watched him a lot ( i live in Holland) i think he would adapt easily too a relegation battle in the EPL .He is not at the level of Kane but hes not bad eithier beter than DeJong thats for sure
