As we await official confirmation of Kenedy’s loan move from Chelsea to Newcastle, the Chronicle have revealed that Rafa Benitez still hopes to pull off THREE more signings this month, stating that he still plans to do ‘significant business’ with 8 days of the window remaining.
Kenedy’s arrival will mark a successful end to a long winded pursuit of the Brazilian wing-back, however it appears to be just the start of our business between now and the February 1st – at least that’s the plan!
The Chronicle state the Rafa is currently “spinning plates”, with several irons currently in the fire. They also confirm that it is a striker that is now seen as the priority – with us all patiently waiting to see who this ‘mystery striker’ is after claims that we’re in talks over a £20m deal.

Striker, number 10, goalkeeper?
— Black&WhiteBarmy (@BlackWhiteBarmy) January 23, 2018
Should that striker arrive, it’d leave two more players for Rafa to bring in, and I imagine that could include a goalkeeper and an attacking midfielder / number 10. A left-back has been mentioned, but Kenedy is capable of filling in here and Dummett has done well on his return, so that area doesn’t seem a priority at present.
It’s promising to see us making moves in the market, but it makes you wonder why Ashley and co have left it so late..
Here’s hoping we get these deals done in time!
So another story with no facts just finger in the wind estimate. Did Rafa actually say this? Stop Olly, I guess your paid for each story sell em to Jackanory

Shelvey will find it hard to fit into any PL side, being a loose cannon, a player who is talented and believes his own press, perhaps he should read the negative versions.
Players are supposed to fit into sides and the managers vision on how the game should be played.
Unfortunately Shelvey doesn’t always concur with this approach, possibly believing he knows better.
The recent pair of red cards doesn’t help and only aggravates both manager and fans and does little for his relationship with either, any player who believes he is more important than the club
itself should be moved on, believe me he wont be missed.
