After yesterday’s big win over Manchester United at St James’ Park, Rafa Benitez gave a brilliant response when asked if this was his biggest win as manager of NUFC – with him saying ‘hopefully not’, because there’ll be even better ones in the future!
There was euphoric scenes around St James’ Park following the win over Mourinho’s 2nd place Man Utd side and these sort of comments from Rafa only give us more belief that we can now kick on and go from strength to strength after such a massive victory.
Rafa on the pitch pointing to the players for praise as fans sing his name ??

It’s also just nice to hear Benitez talking positively and discussing Newcastle and the future in the same sentence. Too much of January was spent harbouring transfer and takeover doubts, which ultimately led to some gloomy outlooks surrounding the gaffers future.
Instead, comments like this just remind you just how much Rafa wants to succeed at this club and give us fans what we deserve – a football club that creates days like yesterday on much more of a regular basis
Here’s what the Spaniard said with a smile when asked if this was his biggest win as manager of Newcastle United:
“Hopefully not – because there will better ones in the future.”
Fighting talk from Rafa who clearly has no intention of this result being a one off for us between now and the end of the season.
Fully deserved best performance and commitment for years well done Rafa and the lads keep it up and we will be fine. HWTL

When Scumberland stayed up it was with results like this, beating top 6 sides. I don’t think we are going down but there is danger if we can’t start beating the teams around us. Lascelles again showed he is better than the 2 England capped muppets on the other side and mo diame was fantastic again. What a performance! Can’t wait to see if Slimani can score us goals. If he can top 10 is achievable.
