VIDEO: Ex-NUFC striker Demba Ba scores incredible goal on his return from horrific leg break – brilliant

Former NUFC striker Demba Ba has had a torrid time since his career threatening leg break in 2016, however the Senegalese striker has come back with a bang with new Turkish side Goztepe , scoring a stunning long-range strike to seal their win over the weekend.

A special moment for Demba, who was forced to consider retirement last year due to the extent of his recent rotten luck with injuries.

The striker’s knee was once described as a ticking time bomb before his move to Newcastle, however it was a horrific double leg break in China back in the summer of 2016 that has hampered his career over the past two years.

This  leg break (broken tibia and fibula) ruled him out for 18 months, but the 32-year-old joined ex-Mag Yoan Gouffran at Goztepe last month and is back playing and back scoring.

Here’s his stunning goal that won them the game at the weekend, sending his new side up to 6th in the Turkish Super Lig:

A brilliant moment for a man who, for me, is the best striker we’ve seen at St James’ Park since Alan Shearer.
