Newcastle United are believed to be pushing to secure a deal to sign Javairo Dilrosun this summer – the highly-rated Manchester City winger who is out of contract this summer after failing to agree a contract with the Premier League leaders.
This comes from the Sun, who claim that the 19-year-old has also attracted interest from Benfica, Swansea and Derby, however Newcastle are pushing to complete a £1m compensation deal to bring him into the U-23 fold at NUFC – a department in real need of improvement.
Dilrosun arrived in England from Ajax in 2014 and is considered to be one of City’s brightest talents, bagging 4 assists in his last 7 appearances in the Premier League 2.
The Dutchman has represented Holland at every youth level from U-15’s to U-19’s and is said to be considering a move away from the Etihad in a bid to secure regular football.
It makes you wonder why he is yet to agree a new deal with City if he is one of their top youngsters, however we are in dire need of some fresh blood at U-23 level and he sounds like a talent worth investing in.
