Big-spending Wolves linked with summer move to sign in-demand NUFC star – Report

During a recent piece on Aleksandar Mitrovic’s future, the Chronicle have revealed that newly promoted Wolves are understood to be interested in signing the Serbian striker this summer.

The 23-year-old has been banging them in for Fulham ever since his loan exit in January, scoring 11 goals in his last 12, so it’s no surprise to hear he’s got several new admirers.

A big-spending Wolves now appear to be one of them, with a striker appearing to be high on Nuno Espírito Santo’s wish list ahead of their return to the top flight.

It was claimed just last week that Newcastle will ‘start the bidding’ at £20m for the Serbian this summer – a figure Wolves would have no problem paying for the striker given the sort of ambition their owners have shown of late.

Here’s a snippet from the Chronicle, confirming Wolves are one of several Premier League clubs eyeing a summer move:

“United will get more than just Fulham sniffing around the striker in the summer. Wolves are also understood to be interested while other Premier League clubs have been looking at the striker. Brighton, remember, had an offer turned down in January that Newcastle felt was derisory.”

He may have been scoring for fun with Fulham, but this shows just how important it’ll be for them to get promoted this season if they wish to sign him permanently this summer.
