According to leading Belgian outlet ‘HLN’ and trusted journalist Kristof Terreur, Newcastle are ‘preparing a bid’ to sign highly-rated Belgian winger Anthony Limbombé.
The 23-year-old earned his first call-up to Roberto Martinez’s Belgian squad earlier this year after an impressive season with Club Brugge, scoring 6 and assisting 7 in 2017/18.
The report claims that Huddersfield have already made a £13m bid for the winger, however they also state that we are ‘preparing a bid’, with offers from both Newcastle and Southampton expected to arrive ‘later this week’.
Here’s a snippet from HLN’s latest piece:
“The power struggle for Anthony Limbombe is getting fiercer. While some French and German clubs still have the wings of Club Brugge still in the picture, the interest from England is increasing.
“For example, Huddersfield already made a concrete bid and Southampton and Newcastle plan to do so later this week.”

The left-winger has 37 goals and 40 assists in 230 career appearances so far and, if true, may be being considered as an affordable alternative to Kenedy?
It’s a name out of the blue and one I’m not familiar with, but sometimes they’re the ones that end up coming off! We shall se..
