According to the Guardian’s Ed Aarons, Newcastle are now interested in signing Paraguay international playmaker Miguel Almiron.
The 24-year-old is one of the star players in the MLS, having bagged an impressive 8 goals and 11 assists in just 21 games for Atlanta across their 2017/18 season in the States.
The issue – like any transfer with Newcastle these days – could be his potential price, however, with the Guardian reporter claiming that Atlanta value him at £20m.

If a price tag above our club record fee wasn’t enough, it’s not exactly encouraging to hear that a free-spending West Ham are also interested.
With this coming from the Guardian (voted most reliable outlet in a BBC study) there’s a good chance there could be something in this link, however it’s no use showing ‘interest’ if we’re not prepared to pay up.
Time will tell if we’ve actually got any intention of signing him!
