After being withdrawn from Newcastle’s Checktrade Trophy squad ‘at the last minute’, Lee Ryder claims there is now an unnamed Bulgarian club pushing to sign Rolando Aarons on loan.
The winger barely featured over pre-season and was not handed a squad number when they were released a few weeks, with it also being confirmed yesterday that he was NOT part of Rafa Benitez’s 25-man Premier League squad.
Aarons, 22, had made the journey to Doncaster Rovers’ Keepmoat Stadium ahead of the U-21’s opening game in the Checktrade Trophy on Tuesday night, however he was then pulled from the team at the last minute – making us wonder if a loan deal is now in the pipeline:
Rolando Aarons withdrawn from the team at the last minute. Understood to be a club in Bulgaria interested in signing the winger on loan. Nothing confirmed on that yet though. #nufc

As revealed by The Chronicle, his proposed loan move to Ligue 1 side Caen ‘fell through’ at the 11th hour on France’s deadline day last week, also claiming that Hull made a proposal back in July.
A move to Bulgaria – where the likes of CSKA Sofia, Ludogorets and Levski Sofia play – would hardly be the ideal move for him at this stage of his career, but it may be better than rotting in the reserves?
Either way, it’s fair to say his career on Tyneside has not went nearly as well as some expected after he broke onto the scene with such promise several years ago.
