Alan Shearer weighs in after Geordie star makes unbelievable NUFC admission – “Ashley out!”

Alan Shearer has branded Newcastle United a ‘shambles’ after Geordie boxing star Lewis Ritson admitted that the club have asked him to take all NUFC logos off his clothing – except when he’s fighting live on TV!

Just when you think the club couldn’t treat it’s own any worse, you see this.

As he admits in his series of tweets below, Ritson had been a season ticket holder for seven years, being an avid Newcastle United fan who enters the ring to the Blaydon Races – yet the club will only allow him to ‘represent’ Newcastle United when he’s on TV.

Boxers promoting their teams can only be a good thing for both parties. We’ve seen it with Bellew and Everton and Brook and Sheffield United – however it seems Mike Ashley’s Newcastle United just don’t get that.

Yes they’ll ‘allow him’ to wear the badge when live on TV, but we all know why that is.

  1. If the S.D logo was adjoined the nufc crest they would be more than happy for him to have it on his clothes wouldnt surprise me if he porpose that to L.R. This is the level Ashley works at. He has done such a good job of having an S.D logo, hoarding or image always in the background where ever nufc is concerned via video, online whatever, its intertwined anyone who thinks Mike Ashley is serious about selling nufc needs help.

S.D would lose to much in free expose, advertising and side deals with Puma (who pay back their very low nufc kit sponsorship deal with massive kick backs for S.D) you better believe that their was something shady about the wonga deal that nufc had too like Ashley been a hidden partner it wouldn’t surprise me.
