NUFC send scouts to watch £15m flop ahead of a possible January bid – A risky move for Rafa?

Newcastle United have sent scouts to watch West Brom attacker Oliver Burke according to The Sun.

The 21-year-old was rated as one of the most promising talents in Britain just a few years ago, securing a £13m move to RB Leipzig in 2016 after impressing at Nottingham Forest and then making a £15m move to West Brom last summer last summer.

He’s struggled to make any real impact since making the big money move to The Hawthorns, however.

The 6ft 2′ wide man has just 1 goal and 3 assists in 19 games for the Baggies, having made just one appearance for them in the Championship so far this season.

The Sun’s story claims that both ourselves, Tottenham and Brighton have sent scouts to watch him in West Brom U21’s Checkatrade Trophy win over Blackpool last week – claiming they’re open to selling to Scottish international to fund a move for Blackburn’s Bradley Dack in January.

Burke is still just 21 and is versatile attacker (being able to play up top or out wide), however a player with a lot to prove is hardly the answer when we need players for now.
