Some promising pictures have emerged from the club’s latest training sessions this morning, showing Salomon Rondon and Ciaran Clark back in training – with rarely seen midfielder Ki Sung-yueng also pictured after his bizarre absence over the past month.
DeAndre Yedlin is nowhere to be seen in the training pictures, so let’s hope there’s nothing in that.
Starting with Rondon, Rafa confirmed earlier today that he is ‘getting better’ and the pictures from today’s session prove that – with him now spotted taking part in full training after missing the last month of action.
Given that The Chronicle said he’d only been doing taking part ‘light training’ last week, this is a real positive sign as far his availability for Saturday’s crucial trip to Southampton is concerned.
Clark is back after being ruled out against Brighton through injury and Ki Sung-yueng is also involved – with the South Korean appearing to have gone AWOL at times over the past month.
The ex-Swansea man hasn’t played a minute since last month’s defeat at Man City, he’s regularly been nowhere to be seen in training pictures and he didn’t even make the bench against Brighton on Saturday.
There’s been talk that Rafa has concerns of his ‘lack of mobility’, so perhaps he’ll be pushed in training in a bid to get him up to speed.
Frontman @salorondon23 was also involved in this morning's training session. He hasn't played since suffering a thigh injury in United's 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace in September.
