A message to NUFC fans ahead of our crucial game at Southampton

By Gary Jackaman

I left St James Park last week angry, embittered, frustrated, so saddened that a man from Buckinghamshire who built a sports empire is ruining my beloved Newcastle United, our Newcastle United.

I heard when I was walking back to the train station that we have only been relegated 4 times before he arrived. We have been relegated twice and if we are not careful could be headed for number 3.

It is as if Mike Ashley wants us to get relegated so he gains the big pay day from promotion. It does not make business sense to do this as surely remaining in the Premier League yields more reward. You would think so right? However, you would not put past Mike Ashley to do something knee ****, to take a gamble such as not give Rafa anything to spend in January and hope for the best.

There are already rumours this will happen and I hope they will remain unfounded.

There are now talks of boycotts and of more protests which I pray work as we need a change of owner, a change of direction but what worries me is that we need to support Rafa and the players on the field.

It is not their fault we find ourselves where they are, they do not write the cheques and it is not them who decide our transfer budget.

We need to make sure our beloved Newcastle is a Premier League side next August. So, when you head to Southampton, please get behind the lads, stay united and let’s hope we come home with 3 points.

Howay the lads!
