Shocking Southampton stat emerges – This should give every NUFC fan confidence for tomorrow

A shocking stat has emerged ahead of tomorrow’s crucial trip to St Mary’s, with it being revealed that Southampton have won just ONE Premier League game at home since November 2017.

Newcastle desperately need the points and a first win of the season to climb off the bottom of the Premier League and such a wretched run of home form by the Saints will hopefully inject some much needed confidence into Rafa Benitez’s side.

Here’s there recent results at home in the Premier League – with them only winning one game since November 2017 (a 2-1 win over Bournemouth in April):

Southampton themselves only narrowly avoided the drop last season and after another poor start this year, it seems the arrival of Mark Hughes has done little to turn their fortunes around.

Newcastle have lost their first five home games this season, which marks their worst ever start, so perhaps an away trip to a side also lacking in confidence is just what we need.

Despite having Danny Ings and Charlie Austin on the books, Southampton have struggled for goals and need a win badly as well.

Two sides in bad form often leads to a draw but let’s hope Newcastle can finally get three points on the board this weekend.
