In an interview with BBC Sport, Aleksandar Mitrovic has stated that he found life on Tyneside tough at times as the passion of the fans was sometimes ‘too crazy’ – making it hard for him to have a private life.
This appears a bit of a shock considering he quite often appeared to enjoy life at Newcastle, with him being the one player who seemed to love the passion of fans as much as anyone. However he appears to be more suited to a quieter life in London – much to my surprise!
Now it is quite hard to criticise the fans for being overly passionate, and some players take to it and some don’t. Mitrovic is flourishing at Fulham and some fans believe it was a mistake to sell him, however he and Rafa didn’t really click as Joselu, Gayle and Daryl Murphy were often being picked ahead of him over the past couple of seasons.

“It was one city, one club. Everybody there was really crazy about Newcastle.
“Sometimes it is nice, but sometimes you want to be quiet and go out with your family. When you are not happy on the field, you just don’t want to think about football, [you want to] have your space.”
I personally liked Mitrovic, and it is hard to see him doing well at another club, however Rafa is the manager and must be trusted in the decisions he makes.
Time will tell as to wether we will live to regret the decision to sell him, but his latest quotes have came as quite a surprise to many considering he was always full of praise for the fans and stating how much he loved life on Tyneside.

Its about time Mitrovic shut his moaning face, truth is he couldn’t and wouldn’t take orders from his manager, because as far as he was concerned he knew best.
