Just a few months after completing a move to Australia, ex-NUFC defender Steven Taylor has already been involved in one of the misses of the season – hitting the post from three yards out during Wellington Phoenix’s match in Brisbane yesterday.
Since leaving Newcastle, the 32-year-old has had spells with Portland Timbers, Ipswich, Peterborough and Wycombe Wanderers, however he’s now living down under after completing a move to the ‘A-League’ over the summer.
In his third appearance for the club on Sunday, here’s the moment he missed from three yards:
HOW????
Is this the miss of the season from Steven Taylor? #ALeague #BRIvWEL

To make matters worse, the game ended 0-0 – so it seems Steven missed a huge chance to earn his new A-League side a precious three points.
This isn’t the first comical moment he’s been involved in since signing for them in July, however. Just moments after he signed, the Geordie centre-back claimed the A-League was ‘one of the best in the world’.
Taylor has always had a tendency to get a little carried away both on and off the pitch, and these are two more shining examples!
