Rafa Benitez & Salomon Rondon nominated for November awards – Vote for them both here

Rafa Benitez has been nominated for the Premier League manager of the month after three wins out of three in November – while Salomon Rondon’s headed goal against Bournemouth has been shortlisted for Carling’s goal of the month award.

With a 1-0 win over Watford, a 2-1 win over Bournemouth and an away win at Burnley last Monday, Benitez helped us to a 100% record in November.

Considering the rut we were in – with us enduring our worst start for over 100 years – this is some achievement, especially when two of these three wins came over two of the most in-form sides outside of the top 6 in Watford and Bournemouth.

And then to Salomon Rondon.

The West Brom loanee has really stepped up to the plate since returning to full fitness a few weeks ago, scoring three goals in his last four games – including this Shearer-esque header to help us to a 2-1 win over Bournemouth last month:

The Venezuelan is up against Richarlison (for his goal against Brighton), Ilkay Gundogan (for his goal against Man Utd), Leroy Sane (for his goal against West Ham), Stuart Armstrong (for his goal against Fulham), Trent Alexander Arnold (for his goal against Watford), Son Heung-Min (for his goal against Chelsea) and Junior Hoilett (for his goal against Wolves).
