Newcastle set to make January move for ex-Arsenal attacker – Report

According to ‘France Football’, Newcastle are set to make a January move to sign former Arsenal winger Jeff Reine-Adélaïde.

The 20-year-old left the Gunners at the beginning of the year, joining French side Angers on loan – with them then taking up their option to sign him permanently over the summer.

He’s since been catching the eye in Ligue 1 and has earned a call-up to the French U-21 set up as a result.

It sounds just like us to be interested in a promising young talent who’s performing well in France, however France Football’s piece claims his current club would demand “€10-12m” for the attacker – which is something I can’t see us paying given he cost them just over £1m a few months ago.

In addition, is a 20-year-old who’s yet to fully prove himself in Ligue 1 really the answer for us right now?
