NUFC eyeing £500k deal to sign ‘the next Jamie Vardy’ after 42 goals in 18 months – Report

According to the Sun, Newcastle are one of several Premier League clubs keen to sign Leyton Orient goal machine Macauley Bonne.

The 23-year-old striker has been described as the ‘new Jamie Vardy’, with him bagging 17 times already this season – just a few months after racking up 25 goals for the National League side.

Leyton Orient are said to value the Zimbabwean in the region of £500,000 (a fee that will be music to the ears of Mike Ashley), however it sounds like we’ll face a fair bit of competition if we do in fact make a move to sign him next month.

The Sun claim that ourselves, Leicester, Palace, Huddersfield and Fulham are also interested in the striker, with several Championship sides also keen.
