Fulham star ruled out of Saturday’s game at St James’ Park – Great news for NUFC

Claudio Ranieri has confirmed that star winger Ryan Sessegnon will miss Saturday’s game – a boost for Rafa Benitez given how he tormented us the last time Fulham came to St James’ Park.

He’s had a mixed season so far with 1 goal and 3 assists, but the 18-year-old is one of the top young talents in the Premier League – and many may remember how he tormented DeAndre Yedlin last time we met.

Sessegnon scored twice in their 1-3 win at St James’ Park during our season in the Championship, however Fulham will have to do without him today, with Ranieri confirming that a groin injury will keep him out of this one.

Sessegnon was their top scorer last season with 16 goals and 8 assists, being a pacey left winger with an eye for goal and the ability to assist – with a certain Aleksandar Mitrovic likely to miss him come Saturday.

Good news for us, but based on our home form so far this season, the result will come down to which Newcastle team turns up – not whether their star winger is fit or not.
