According to the Daily Mail, Rafa Benitez is now attempting to sign PSG duo Stanley N’Soki and Christopher Nkunku.
Nkunku is a 21-year-old midfielder who has started just five games for PSG this season, while 19-year-old left-back N’Soki is a name many fans may be familiar with after he was heavily linked with a move to Tyneside last summer.
N’Soki has been tipped to become a future star at the Parc des Princes and will be available on loan at best, so with that in mind, the club could then only pursue a permanent deal for Nkunku (with us unable to sign two players on loan from one club).
This sounds like a case of Rafa using his extensive contacts to the best of his ability, but whether he’s able to actually get Ashley to sanction these deals (or persuade PSG to let both go) is another matter entirely.
