Cardiff boss Neil Warnock says why NUFC fans are ‘absolutely bonkers’

Cardiff boss Neil Warnock believes Newcastle fans are ‘absolutely bonkers’ – praising our ability to stick with the club ‘no matter what’.

He’s not wrong. I don’t know many others club that would continue to get 50,000 crowds in a period where hope and success seem a million miles away.

Here’s what Warnock’s had to say when speaking to Sky Sports ahead of tomorrow’s trip to St James’ Park:

“It’s a big game.

“I always enjoy St James’ Park – and the fans are absolutely bonkers. They’vs stuck with them no matter what.

“The north east is pretty special with the fans. But we’ll have a good following up in the loft!”

Maybe we are bonkers to keep turning up in our thousands, lining Mike Ashley’s pockets as he continues to totally neglect our football club.

Warnock then stated that we’ll be expecting to win tomorrow – using Salomon Rondon as the reason why we should be so confident:

“They’ll expect to beat us with the strikers they’ve got. Look at Rondon who’s £20million.”

Interesting that he says the word ‘strikers’. There’s probably one too many ‘s’ in that statement, with us only having £5m Joselu to rely on if Rondon did get injured.

No matter what Warnock says, we can not see this as a game we should be winning easily – although I don’t think I need to be saying that to fans given our record at St James’ Park this season!
