Jordan Lukaku’s Wikipedia has just been updated by NUFC fans…& it’s absolutely brilliant

Just a matter of minutes after news that Lazio’s Jordan Lukaku is on his way to Tyneside to sign on loan, a Newcastle United fan has already ‘updated’ his Wikipedia page – and it’s absolutely brilliant.

You can’t blame NUFC fans for getting carried away given the total lack of hope regarding news signings this month – and Lukaku would be the the attacking left back that Benitez wants, even though we again are forced to delve into the loan market.

It’s ANOTHER loan deal, which is remarkable really on the day we maintained our slot in Deloitte’s top 20 richest football clubs in the world, but Benitez will hoping it’s the start of a busy final 7 days of the transfer window.

Here’s what how the ‘Newcastle United’ section of his Wikipedia page read (before the amusing update was deleted):

One thing is for sure, Newcastle fans always maintain their sense of humour, especially in difficult times – something we have become accustomed to during the Ashley era.

We still await official confirmation from the club and the definitive ‘holding of the scalf picture’ but if we can get this done, it would be welcome breakthrough in the transfer market. Benitez will rightly want more and if we can sign Almiron for a record fee, things may finally be turning.

Knowing Ashley though, we’ll be more likely to sign Patisserie Valerie than Miguel Almiron before next Thursday’s deadline!
