NUFC set to sign Jordan Lukaku on loan with option to buy – Multiple Reports

According to widespread reports in the last few moments, Newcastle have agreed a deal with Lazio to sign Jordan Lukaku – with the player now ‘on the verge’ of arriving on loan with an option to buy.

Jordan is the brother of Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku, being a 24-year-old Belgian international who can operate both as a left-back or left-winger.

The deal is not only being described as a ‘done deal’ by Sky Italy reporter Gianluca Di Marzio, but leading Belgian outlet HLN are also confirming that the player is ‘on the verge’ of signing at St James’ Park.

The powerful full-back joined Lazio in the summer of 2016 and was expected to make Belgium’s World Cup squad – however an injury over the summer ended those hopes, also seeing him fall to nail down a regular spot in Lazio’s side.

He has bagged 5 goals and 16 assists in 176 career appearances – having played 53 times in Serie A and playing 9 times in the Europa League during his time with Lazio.

So, it sounds like Rafa has FINALLY got himself a new left-back?!

Here’s him in action:
