Javier Manquillo could now make “last minute” move away from NUFC – Report

According to reports in Italy, Lazio could be set to make a last minute move for Javier Manquillo.

Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport claim that the Serie A side are close to giving up in their pursuit of Chelsea wing-back Davide Zappacosta and will make a late move for Manquillo if and when that deal collapses.

As ever, it seems like this is yet another deal that Rafa would only sanction if a replacement full-back arrived, so you’d think at least Monaco’s Antionio Barreca would need to arrive before he’d even consider selling the Spaniard.

This news comes just hours after reports that Joselu could also leave the club before Thursday’s deadline, with TWO clubs said to be interested in signing the striker.

Losing Manquillo and Joselu would hardly be a blow, but with us heading into tonight’s game without a recognised left-back in the squad and Rondon as the only fit striker available for selection, we aren’t exactly in a position to let either go without a replacement?

  1. We need cover at full back and we are letting one go, not a believable story. Plus he is **** and we couldn’t give him away!
