Atlanta reporter tells NUFC fans what to expect from Miguel Almiron – This is exciting..

Atlanta reporter Doug Roberson – the first man to break news of the Almiron’s agreement last night – has shared a fascinating insight into what us Newcastle fans can expect from the Paraguayan playmaker.

Not only does he praise his vision, movement, pace and technique, he also mentions just how hard he works – something that will be key in this Rafa Benitez side that defends from the front.

Roberson also makes reference to his speed when running with the ball at his feet, saying he’s “as fast with the ball as he is without it” – claiming that his ‘mazey runs’ have often stunned reporters when watching him for the first time.

Here’s what he’s had to say:

Exciting to hear, especially when he’s not the only MLS expert who’s absolutely full of it when it comes to Almiron:

He may have been playing in the MLS – a league that is hardly comparable to the Premier League – however I’ve heard nothing but good things about this lad.

What fills me with hope as much as anything is the fact so many have praised his work rate, his attitude and his intelligence – with it feeling as though he’s a flare player who’ll deliver what Rafa wants both on and off the ball.

Here’s him in action!
