According to Lee Ryder, Miguel Almiron is already impressed with the club and ‘passion of the fans’ after spending his first night on Tyneside.
Sky Sports’ Keith Downie has also confirmed in the last few moments that there’s been ‘no issues’ with his medical, describing the deal as ‘all but done’ as he and the club finish off the final few formalities this morning.
There’s no indication yet as to whether he could even be available for Saturday’s trip to Spurs, however Lee Ryder has reported that the Paraguayan feels ‘fit and ready to play’:
So, it seems the Almiron AND Barreca deals are imminent, with Newcastle also hoping to sign TWO other players today – with Hayden, Joselu and Murphy likely to be leave IF we are able to sign replacements.
For once, it could be a busy deadline day on Tyneside!
Fingers crossed.
Have to tip my hat to Rafa 😉 good work to convince Ashley to got off his wallet for a change.
Still don’t trust Ashley and am sure there will be a ‘sting in the tail’ somewhere. 😕
Even so, I am hopeful these deals satisfy Rafa’s needs for the rest of the season and we move up the table – time will tell. 🙂
