NUFC’s forgotten summer signing bags stunning 16 minute hat-trick – A future star at SJP?

Just a few months on from his move from Swiss giants BSC Young Boys, 18-year-old striker Yannick Toure appears to be finding his feet at Newcastle United.

Just a few weeks on from his goal and assist in our Premier League 2 win over West Brom, the Switzerland youth international bagged an impressive first half hat-trick in the U-23’s 7-2 demolition of Blyth Spartans in the Northumberland Senior Cup.

Toure – who bagged 24 goals in 25 appearances for Young Boys’ U-18 side and 7 in 14 for their U-21’s at the age of 17 – has been handed the number 9 shirt at reserve level following Elias Sorensen’s loan move to Blackpool, and it hasn’t taken him long to find his shooting boots.

His three goals last night came between the 7th and 23rd minute – meaning an impressive 16-minute hat-trick for the Senegalese born striker.

Both he and Sorensen have a lot to prove yet, but with Toure previously dubbed one of the top young talents in Switzerland and the Danish striker going from strength to strength, it looks like we may have two very capable young forwards on our hands!
