NUFC ‘tracking’ Championship captain ahead of potential summer bid – Report

According to reports in Norway, Newcastle are one of several clubs tracking Hull City midfielder Markus Henriksen.

The Norwegian international has played 43 times for his country and is Hull City’s captain, scoring twice in 26 appearances so far this season.

Henriksen operates as a central midfielder – and can play in a more holding role – with ‘GV‘ claiming that the likes of Leicester City and Bordeaux are also keeping an eye on the 26-year-old.

We’re not short on players in this position as things stand, but this link (if true) is likely to come as a result of Hayden’s wish to leave – with us likely to be on the lookout for his replacement in the summer as he looks set to finally complete a move back down South for personal reasons.
