Dwight Gayle slated for shocking dive – & Murphy scores first West Brom goal- Watch both here

West Brom drew 2-2 with Nottingham Forest at the Hawthorns last night – a game that saw NUFC loanees Dwight Gayle and Jacob Murphy feature for the home side and Geordie outcast Jack Colback playing for the visitors.

To say it was an eventful night for all three would be an understatement.

Colback – who continues to receive huge praise from Forest fans – played a key role in their opener with the assist, while our very own winger Jacob Murphy who pulled one back for the Baggies early in the second half.

Late on, when West Brom were 1-2 down, Dwight Gayle then threw himself in the box to earn a late penalty. It ended up earning his side a point, with Rodriguez converting, but it was a blatant dive when you look at the replays and a shameful moment as far as Gayle is concerned.

Here’s a clip of Gayle’s late dive, as well as Murphy’s first goal following his loan move to the Midlands and a rare assist for Jack Colback:

Colback’s Newcastle career is all but over, with his contract expiring just as his loan deal with Forest ends this summer, however the likes of Gayle and Murphy could yet be in Rafa’s plans.

Would you like to see either feature next season, or would we be wise to use both in a deal that helps us land Salomon Rondon on a permanent contract?
