Miguel Almiron may come across as quite a shy and quiet character, but he’s been caught on camera looking full of life during his initiation video – even if his singing wasn’t quite up to scratch!
The squad are currently in Spain for a warm weather training break, and after being confirmed as a Newcastle United player for a few weeks, the Paraguayan has finally been initiated!
Here’s a clip of the 25-year-old in good spirits as he sang while standing on a chair in front of the entire NUFC playing squad and coaching staff last night:
We saw him look pretty fearless on the pitch on Monday night, and he doesn’t seem to be too phased by this either!
I was told by Paraguayan reporter Roberto Rojas that Almiron was the sort of guys who’d be ‘open to anything’ and embrace any situation he’s put into – and I’m starting to see why he said that.
Let’s hope he’ll be all smiles on the pitch come next Saturday’s crucial home game with Huddersfield – a day that looks set to see him make his full debut at St James’ Park.
