Revealed: What Miguel Almiron has done more than any Premier League player since joining NUFC

A brilliant Miguel Almiron stat has emerged, highlighting just how much the injured Paraguayan will be missed ahead of our final three games against Brighton, Liverpool and Fulham.

As revealed below, the 25-year-old has averaged over 3 chances created per game since arriving from Atlanta in January – a stat that’s been bettered by no Premier League player in that time.

This stat comes after confirmation that Almiron won’t play again this season, with a hamstring injury picked up in Saturday’s 3-1 win over Southampton ruling him out of our final three games of the season.

His pace, movement, energy and enthusiasm will be a huge miss – that is clear – but this stat highlights just how much we’ll miss his creative spark, with his arrival immediately helping bring the best out of fellow forward Ayoze Perez (who has 8 goals since the turn of the year!) and Salomon Rondon.

Get well soon, Miggy – the man who’s not only transformed our attack but been the catalyst behind our real upturn in form at St James’ Park this year.
