Considering hit lack of game time under Rafa Benitez and his disastrous spell in Italy last season, you may be surprised to see just how highly Sheffield Wednesday fans rate NUFC loanee Achraf Lazaar.
The Moroccan had been sidelined for several weeks with a hamstring injury – much to the dismay of Owls fans after his impressive start – but he’s taken no time to impress following his return to the side on Monday.
Lazaar started at left-back in their clash with promotion hopefuls Bristol City and helped them to a 2-0 win at Hillsbrough – and he’s received yet praise on social media for his performance.
As you can see below, some have even hinted that they could’ve made the play-offs if both he and fellow NUFC loanee Rolando Aarons had stayed fit:
