Every Premier League player released this summer – Would you take any of these at NUFC?

Premier League clubs have announced their retained lists ahead of the 2019/20 season, meaning there’s now several players without clubs and available to sign on a free.

It goes without saying that the first big signing we must make this summer is Rafa Benitez, but there’s a few ‘freebies’ he may have his eye on should he extend his stay at St James’ Park.

Here’s a look at all the players that have been released following the 2018/19 Premier League season:

Arsenal : Danny Welbeck, Aaaron Ramsey (joining Juventus), Stephan Lichtsteiner, Petr Cech, Cohen Bramall, Charlie Gilmour, Julio Pleguezuelo.

Bournemouth : Marc Pugh, James Boote, Jordan Holmes.

There’s not a great deal of options who appeal here – which you’d expect given they’ve all been released! – however there are several players who could definitely do a job at Newcastle.

  1. Nope. All *****. Possibly a right back and striker for squad depth with lowish wage demands, can’t see either of those that would improve on what we have. If they were good deals would be agreed already.
