Morgan Sanson ‘offered’ to Newcastle, Wolves and West Ham – Sky Sports

According to Sky Sports’ Kaveh Solhekol, Newcastle have been offered the chance to sign Marseille star Morgan Sanson this summer.

The Sky reporter also claims that the French midfielder has been offered to Wolves and West Ham too – with the latter said to be ‘in talks’ over a deal already.

Sanson is one of Marseille’s key players, but Sky claim the Ligue 1 side are now ‘listening to offers’ after failing to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

That said, the fact they value Sanson at just over £30m suggests this isn’t exactly the sort of deal we’d take them up on – especially when we’re yet to know who’ll be owning or managing the club ahead of the 2019/20 season!

Sanson, 24, bagged 5 goals and 4 assists last season and has two goals in 10 appearances for the French U-21 side.

We may need new central midfielders this summer, with Hayden and Diame’s exits seeming imminent and Shelvey’s future up in the air if Rafa stays, but I don’t see us pursuing a £30m-rated Sanson.
