Tim Krul has spoken out following the release of the 2019/20 Premier League fixtures this morning, saying he’s looking forward to Norwich’s early-season clash with the ‘mad Geordies’.
The former Newcastle goalkeeper played a big part of Norwich’s promotion back to the top flight last season, and he’s jokingly backed the Canaries to get an ‘easy 6 points’ against Liverpool on the opening day and Newcastle the week after – with us being their first opponents at Carrow Road following their return to the Premier League.

Based on the responses to his amusing tweet, it seems Newcastle fans have taken it well, with many wishing the former Mag all the best for the new season after his 12-year stint on Tyneside.
All jokes aside, it will be great to see the Dutchman get a warm reception from the travelling Toon Army ahead of our first away game of the season – as long as his prediction doesn’t prove to be right!
